Rev Mark Gauen

The Rev. Mark L. Gauen has served First Presbyterian Church since 1998.

A Purdue University-educated engineer, Mark began his career with Procter & Gamble Paper Products in Green Bay, Wis. When he felt the Lord was leading him in a different direction, he enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary, later transferring to McCormick Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree in 1986.

Mark accepted a position as associate pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs, Ill., in 1986. He left in 1991 to become interim pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville. He served that church until coming to Westerville.

Mark and his wife, Kathy, have three children: Kaitlin, Matt and Lizzie and one grandchild. Besides spending time with his family, Mark most enjoys fishing, gardening, reading, science, canoeing and playing soccer, volleyball and softball.
