Coronavirus Update

Dear Members and Friends of First Presbyterian Church:

On Sunday, March 22, Governor DeWine issued a “Stay at Home” order for the state of Ohio. Although religious institutions are exempt from this order, the Session of our church has decided that we needed to do our part in stopping the spread of the Coronavirus. Therefore, starting at noon today (Monday), we are closing the church office. No one will be in the church building except to collect mail and to check on the condition of the building.

We will continue to do the things we have been doing; streaming Sunday sermons and prayers on Facebook; posting audio of Sunday sermons and prayers on our web-site; sending daily Church News email bulletins; calling and emailing each other; holding meetings by phone, email or video conference call; praying for one another and our world.

The Church Office will reopen on Monday, May 11. Our church secretary will keep her normal office hours of Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30. For safety reasons, the doors will be locked, but there is a doorbell which you can use, and Olivia will let you in. We also ask that you use hand sanitizer and a mask when you enter the building.

As a reminder, I invite all members to contact me directly with any pastoral care concerns.

Yours in Christ,

Mark Gauen
