Coronavirus Update

Dear Members and Friends of First Presbyterian Church:

Last Monday night the Session of our church voted not to hold in-person worship at least through the end of November. This decision was based on several factors:

Overall, the Session felt that we needed to be cautious about resuming in-person worship, thus the decision to wait. The Session will continue to prepare for resuming in-person worship and will consider again the issue in October. In the meantime, we will continue to improve our worship experiences for all our members.

As I said back in June, this is a dynamic and challenging time for churches. We are all traveling in an uncharted wilderness caused by the pandemic. But like the ancient Israelites before us, we do not travel this wilderness alone. God continues to guide us as we walk this path together and I have faith that God will lead us to a “promised land” for our church and for our faith.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Mark Gauen
