Family Canoe Trip

Saturday Sept. 23, 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Fellowship and lots of fun will be the order of the day for those of you who come to the almost annual canoe trip. There will be a sign up sheet in the Sign Up Book in the Gathering Place during August. As in past years, everyone is responsible for their own transportation. You can look at the sign-up sheet and arrange a car pool to the site. The canoe rental needs advance notice to reserve enough canoes so, please sign up ASAP.

We will rendezvous with our group about 9:45 am at Little Miami Canoe Rental, 219 Mill Street St., Rt. 123 Morrow, Ohio (513-899-3616). Drive time is about one and a half hours. We will be taking a 6 mile trip from this location.

The shuttle to the canoes leaves at 10:15 am so please be there by 9:45 am so we can make final arrangements before boarding. (See www.littlemiamicanoe.com for location and more information. We will be meeting at the "Morrow" base)

Cost to rent a canoe is this year is: $21 per person canoe; $35 kayak. If you bring your own canoe or kayak, the cost for transport is $20 for canoe; $25 kayak. We get a church group discount, so we need to pay all at one time for all of our rentals. Your time on the river will be about two hours. Distance on the water again is 6 miles.
