Blessing of the Animals

Sunday Aug. 23, 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

This is one church tradition that works in the age of social distancing. Bring your pet to our “Blessing of the Animals” service on this Sunday. All pets are welcome but must be kept under your control at all times (leashes or cages required). You can also bring a picture of your pet to be blessed. And you are welcome to come even

Animals are an extension of the family and very much beloved by their owners. By honoring the significance of these special family members, we provide joy and comfort to their owners and the pets benefit as well.

And we are reminded that God created all the creatures of the earth.

We will meet on the east lawn of the church for the service. All participants are asked to bring their own chairs along with their pet. We will wear masks and stay socially distanced. Bringing a water bottle for you (and your pet) is also a good idea. If it rains, the service will be rescheduled.

People without pets are welcome, too!
